Who am I?
My name is Angélique Le Maire aged 23 years old and living on a paradise Island known as Mauritius. All my life, I tried to find a purpose, something I can actually look forward to in the future and make me want to work hard in order to achieve it. It wasn't until I started my tertiary studies that I could finally figure out what I want in life: Public Relations. I simply love everything about this field, it is not only about communications, it's also about maintaining a strong and positive relationship between companies and their audiences.
My mission
I'm currently on the pursuit to discover ways the digital world and social networking benefit communications in Public Relations. For some time now, I've been fascinated about Public Relations and I discovered a particular interest in the digital revolution. The continous technological innovations and improvements provide numerous platforms as well as communcation channels such as social media. This helps companies to achieve their business goals including their communication strategies. This also helps in reaching out your target audience efficiently and this is where I believe Public Relations plays a critical role. I want to show that the marriage between Public Relations and the digital world is growing in importance and is clearly becoming dominant.
My Goal
I remember when I was still in high school and i had no idea what I would do in the future; my dad used to tell me "You know I can definitely see you work in the PR field in the future". At the time I did not even know what PR was. Today my goal is to graduate and hopefully become a successful PR practitioner.
