This page was created for educational purposes and is still attracting a lot of people today. The purpose was to create a company, come up with a name and objectives and create an online presence for this company. I decided to name the company “MyFitness” which was then considered as a gym.
I wanted to make the page engaging and deliver healthy tips for the targeted audience which of course was the clients of the company. I’ve used Adobe InDesign to design and create engaging posts as well as the logo of the company. I realized communicating on social media has to be done in a specific way, the aim to create a space where the audience can interact and engage with the company.
Furthermore, managing a social media profile means keeping your clients up to date with the latest news such as special announcements. You must provide content which will make the audience feel interpellated by the company. It is important to keep your vision and mission coherent with what you are posting on your page to ensure a positive image of the company and this can encourage word of mouth whereby your clients can then recommend your page to their entourage.
MyFitness’s Facebook page continues to attract people and the likes keep increasing every day. People have been sending messages asking where the company is located on the Island and I guess this means I’ve been doing a good job with this page where people feel invited by the content.
A Twitter page has also been created for MyFitness and the way you communicate on Twitter is very different from the way you communicate on other social media platforms. The aime on Twitter is to communicate your message in not more than 140 characters which means you need to be clear and starighforward. The idea is to get people interact with your Tweet and respond by Retweeting for instance. To do this, sharing links, images and videos is a good idea as long as they are coherent with your message.
